Tokuyama weeping cherry trees

50 weeping cherry trees are planted in a 150m-long area on either side of the road. They brighten Kawanehoncho Town with their flowers in spring.
Shiroyashio (Goyo Tsutsuji) Five-leaf deciduous azalea

Growing mainly along the ridge from Mt. Ofuda to Mt. Sobatsubu, they flower from the end of May to the beginning of June.
Autumn leaves of Sessokyo

In fall, the sides of the mountains are covered with vibrant red leaves. The best time to see them is at the beginning of November.
Akayashio tsutsuji (azalea)

They bloom from the end of April to the end of May in the area around Mt. Ofuda and Sotomoriya in Sumatakyo Onsen.
Primeval forest at the head of the Oigawa River

An 1115-hectare primeval forest spreads over the southwest area of Mt. Tekari (2592m), consisting of hemlock fir, Japanese hemlock, and Veitchi’s fir. Mt. Tekari also features a Siberian dwarf pine community, the southernmost extent of its range in the Northern Hemisphere. Designated as The Primeval Forest nature Conservation Area, it is the only one of its king on Honshuu.
